Has anyone actually mailed off to the National Archives to get copies of the original WWI draft registration cards? I don't have access to a Family History Center (they have microfilms of the original cards) so I would like to write to the NARA to get copies of the original cards. All of my ancestors I've found in abstracts of the cards have been from small towns or very rural areas, so I don't anticipate a problem with finding out the street address. I do know the counties they registered in. What I'd like to find out is if there is a specific form that I need to get to request this information and how much it cost. Does anyone have any guidance?
