As most of you know, the census will be released in April of 2002. Those of you who live in the Omaha area have probably deduced that the library will be VERY lucky if they can afford to purchase just the Nebraska reels for 1930. Greater Omaha Genealogical Society is determined to do what they can to help. If you use the W. Dale Clark library and live in the Omaha area, contact me, and I'll let you know what we're up to and how you can help if interested. There are 2668 films in the new series. By the way, we have a publication date on the Douglas County Marriages 1854-1881 book: 7 Feb 2002!! The Society will be ordering a few copies & members will be able to purchase the book for a discount when they're available. (No word yet on the projected cost.) And this is the last month to join G.O.G.S. if you want to submit your ancestral names for inclusion in the Who's Searching Where book that will include members, their ancestral names & where they're being searched for, and the list of 150 societies we exchange newsletters with. All members and exchange societies will get a copy of the book as part of the membership. Karen
