re: Hello Everyone, I am new to this list and am hoping someone can help me. I am trying to locate an obituary on a gentleman who is buried in the Kearney Cemetery ... The Nebraska State Historical Society is a great resource for finding obits. If you can get to Lincoln in person, you'll find they have a gigantic card file in the entryway lobby that is simply alphabetic by person's name. Chances are you can find your name there and it will list a newspaper containing an obit. They will very likely have the newspaper on microfilm. If you can't get there, they can do the lookup for you for a small fee. Of course in either case you may get a really nice writeup or just a "services thursday" notice. The NSHS folks will likely search several days' of papers to make sure that the latter is all that's available if that's the case. http://www.nebraskahistory.org/lib-arch/services/refrence/index.htm Kent Christensen Albuquerque Christensen/Christoffersen: ?? -> Lancaster Co., NE, USA Pedersen (Peterson): Hjorring, DK -> Sarpy Co., NE, USA Grell: Germany -> Sarpy Co., NE, USA
