I wonder whether anyone on this list has connections to the Baker family from Iowa County, Wisconsin, or to the Dale family from Racine County, Wisconsin (those two families, both from Cornwall, intermarried), or to the Watkins family that married into the Baker family. I know all three branches did come to Nebraska in the late 1800's, and am looking to hook up with any kin still here. Albert Watkins and Margaret Anna Baker Watkins became somewhat prominent in Lincoln. He was a newspaper publisher, was postmaster for a time, and helped to found Bankers Life Insurance Company. Walter F. Dale was in the legislature from Harlan County. Some Bakers came as well, tried farming for a time in Thayer County, between Carleton and Davenport, I think, but there were other Bakers who came from Wisconsin to Nebraska, also.
