Barbara, I used to live in Beatrice. It is a wonderful town and has an active genealogical group that meets monthly. Since I haven't lived there in 9 years, I would suggest you contact the Beatrice Public Library. That is where much of the historical information is kept. There used to be a catalog of cemeteries there too. Is there any chance that there person you are looking for was actually living in Kansas? Good luck, Bruce NEBRRoots-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > Subject: > > NEBRRoots-D Digest Volume 99 : Issue 5 > > Today's Topics: > #1 [NEBRRoots-L] Gov. He was a witness to the marriage of John Sack and Elizabeth Klein. Elizabeth Klein was my g-grandmother's sister. I have a fair amount of (but incomplete) info about John & Elizabeth's children and grandchildren. Any help?

Back in 1946 to 1950 there was a Female Student at BYU who lived in Columbus, Nebraska. This student did some contacting of some HUDSON Family relations for me. I can't remember her first name. All I can remember is that she was a JONES and lived in Columbus. I didn't realize at the time that I had many JONES family members living in Columbus. I would like to contact her if she is still live. Thanks Earl Brunner Las Vegas, Nevada

Still seeking the ever elusive Harry A. Houston. He was born in Philadelphia PA sometime in the 1820-1830 range. At sometime the title of Captain was given to him, for what I have no clue. In 1853 he married Elizabeth Jane Irwin. From what I can tell he lived in Page County IA for awhile and then in the 1870's would move to Fremont County IA. Eventually he ends up in Buffalo County NE. I recieved an article on his son Charles recently, and it states that Harry was an editorialist for newspapers in Kansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa. He also worked in the Home office in Sidney Iowa. With all this I still can't find the elusive Harry, he was never around for census takers either. According to my grandmother Harry was related to General Sam Houston, either as a nephew or a cousin. To this point she has been right on every account, so need to find a tie into him. HELP PLEASE. J.R., I appreciate your caring enough to send the warning. But.... This is a warning that was started a couple years ago. Congress has already dealt with it -- it's over and done with. The charge was NOT allowed. Please do not circulate this kind of message. It clogs the servers as well as our mail-boxes.
