I am looking for any information on the Kendrick family of Nebraska. My gr. grandad Orville W. Kendrick was b. 3-33-1838 in NY, served in the Civil War in the Illinois infantry and d. 3-33-1924 in Whitney, Dawes Co., NE. His son Frank Irving Kendrick was born in Illinois 9-15-1868 but moved to Nebraska right after his marriage to Edna M. Middleton. They moved to the Glen, NE area and lived in the panhandle the rest of their lives. I hope someone can help. Thanks, Toby
For those of you that have asked for lookups in the Buffalo and Gibbons books and for those that might ask, please be patient. The books do not have indexes and I have to search page by page for your information. I don't mind it one bit, but it may take a couple of days to get back to you..But I will get back to you... Does anyone have any connections in the Aurora area that could put me in touch with Williams or Myers ancestors? I'm looking for more info on ED WILLIAMS and his family (wife Catherine Emma (Ernst) Williams, sons Garl and Ross, and daughter Myrtle). Myrtle married first a WANEK who died; then she married DAVID M. MYERS of Aurora. She never had any children that I'm aware of. Her brother, Ross Williams, contracted polio at about age 18; he died in Omaha in 1928 from pneumonia, never having married. The other brother, Garl died of spinal meningitis shortly after settling on his own ranch in 1908, also unmarried. Ed Williams ran the Aurora sale barn under the name "Best & Williams" and also "Osborn & Williams." Ed died in 1927 in Aurora. Emma died in 1925. I'd really like to get in touch with anyone related to Myrtle Williams (Wanek)(Myers). David Myers died in 1959 and Myrtle died in 1967 in Aurora. The entire family is buried in the Aurora Cemetary. Please e-mail me. Thanks so much. Mona Knight

Hi I appreciate all the responses I have received on the Gage co BURNHAMS. I am trying to determine if they were related to the Pawnee co BURNHAMS. Perhaps there is something in the Wymorean that could shed some light. Dr E.W. BURNHAM died in Pawnee City the day after Christmas in 1890. I have his obit published in the Pawnee City newspaper in January of 1891 and have posted it to the Pawnee co archives on the genweb page. Can someone please check to see if he had a will probated? Thank you so much. Stan
One of our members to this list has received notice to please stay on topic which is genealogy involving the State of Nebraska and related topics. Sincerely, Bill ListOwner --
Dear Stan, How very thoughtful of you to do all that research for us poor suckers out here. Well, I am here to tell you Stan that we are not the suckers in Nebraska that you think. I think you are the worst kind of fraud man that uses the cover of some thing else, genealogy , in this case to promote your own business. If I decide to invest my money it will be with a legitimate company in my local area that I have researched and not with a so called genealogist professing to do me a big favor. If I was the owner of this list I would have you permanently removed. Greetings everyone, I am not having any success in finding my g-grandfather's homestead records, family letter says he took homestead in Franklin county NE about 1881, now I am wondering if there was a mistake in which county he actually got his homestead, as they dont seem to have him on record in Franklin county, is there a state wide homestead index. I appreciate your kindness to help me come up with idea's on how to locate this record. Isnt the Little Blue river in Franklin county ? this is also mentioned in the letter. Many thanks for your help. John Beaverton,OR
A big thank you goes out to all who replied to my query!! With your help I have located my ancestor Mamie Ameldia (Durkin) TICE.
