This does not relate to any surname that I am researching personally. Nancy     Robert H. Hostettler of Long Beach, retired farmer and brother of Arnold H. 1. [NEBRRoots] Edward Owen
    2. I have updated my OWEN Family page, and also added the first of several branches of the OWEN family tree. My GG-grandfather, was John C. Owen who came from Guilsfield, Wales in 1839 to Canada. He worked there for a year and then came into the United States and settled in Stephenson County, Illinois according to family stories and writings by my G-grandmother Ellen Josephine Owen Harrison, youngest daughter of John & Lydia Owen which were recently sent to me by my father's cousin. John Owen worked for a man named Cal Giddons or Giddings where he met my GG-grandmother Lydia Ellen Fox. Lydia was one of 8 children born to Aaron Fox & Susan Albert. According to my G-grandmother's writing, her mother Lydia and her two brothers (the youngest children) were given away to families when Lydia's father died. At this time it is not known the exact circumstances or if this Cal Giddons was related to the Fox or Albert families. The Owen family came to Saunders County, Nebraska sometime between 1873-1875. <A HREF="http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/owen.html">OWEN FAMILY</A> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/owen.html <A HREF="http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/edowen.html"> Edward Owen Family of Saunders County, NE</A> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/edowen.html I would like to hear from anyone that can help add dates for the Edward Owen family's descendants births, deaths, etc. Surnames for this family are: ROOT, STUBBS, NEYMOR, HUBBARD, MAHARG or MALARG, WAGNER, BARGER, LITTLEFIELD, WHITE (aka Buckskin Charlie of Hamilton County,NE), HAYS, KING, ROPER and some others.
