    1. [NEBRRoots] Webpages are moving
    2. Marge Sandlier
    3. Hello all, My husband and I have had our webpages up on our [email protected] site since Oct 1998. With the split between partners Cox and Excite our webpages would eventually have to be moved to the new server that Cox is getting ready. Instead of moving our site to the new Cox server, I moved our pages to our Rootsweb webspace. Our main page is at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~sandlier/. My Nebraska family information is at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~sandlier/. I have links from that page to my family files that I uploaded to WorldConnect. I hope you'll stop by and check us out. Blessings and peace, -- Marge Galus Sandlier <>< [email protected] Forget Me Not - http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~sandlier/ -- Webmistress for Hanscom Park United Methodist Church http://www.gbgm-umc.org/hanscom/

    1. [NEBRRoots] Ed Lehr & Charles & Daisy Bussell
    2. Do you have anymore info on Ed Lehr? Do you have any more info on Daisy who married Charles Bussell? Do you have anymore info on Lizzie, Thelma or Eva Bussell? Who his parents and sibblings were? Where they came from? I think I have ran across these names but can't remember much. I think they were in Albion & Eligin, NE area where I've been doing some research. They may have been children of Manderson Lehr who was killed in France during Worl War I. The American legion building in Albion is named after him. I waiting for more info on that and hope to get a copy of his military records. I'm waiting for some info that I have put out in ssome queries. I would suggest that you post queries in the counties were they lived and join those mailing list. Get copies for the census for every time period, 1910, 1920, etc. Alot of Lehr people were in Bremen, IN area in 1800's that came from Berks, Pine Grove, Schyulkill, PA area. I have a few p-eople in Bremen checking the library for me and they say there are over 100 index cards for the Lehr surname in that area. I believe I'm a decendant of Samuel Lehr and if you are, then you have people in Bremen, IN. There are alost of Lehr people buried in the cemetery there. You can write to the Historical Society in Archer and ask for someone to check the cemeteries for those names and death records. You may be able to look for them in the social security listing in rootsweb or ancestry. Kepp in touch and let me know what Lehr info you have. Thanks, Sandy

    1. [NEBRRoots] Missing Uncle -- A Mystery
    2. Hi all, My mystery is what happened to my Dad's brother? His name: Donald Joseph Harrison, born in Lincoln, NE Feb. 2, 1936 and when he was 19 (in the Army) he very stupidly held up a post office at gunpoint and was arrested, convicted and put in the Ft. Leavenworth prison. He later came back to Lincoln and worked for a bread company and married a woman named Jane (her last name is not known) in a typical "shotgun wedding", she being pregnant. I remember seeing their new son when he was a few weeks old, which was just a month before my dad died of cancer (at the age of 31) -- I was 8 at the time. My Mom does not remember what the baby's name was or what Jane's maiden name was. Don and Jane divorced shortly after the birth of their son. Don disappeared in Oct. 1965 right after my Mom remarried. He called his sister a few months later and said he was calling from Acapulco and that he was leaving for Australia and never coming back. We do not believe he went there. He neither had the money to afford a trip like that and was apparently drunk when he had called my aunt. No one has ever heard from him again and if he is still living, he missed his father's death and funeral, and also the rest of his siblings deaths except for his youngest sister who has not seen him in over 30 years. Can anyone tell me how I could find out what his wife's maiden name was or his son's name? Since it is unlikely that I can get a divorce record without her surname, I can't find out who she was. As for the boy, I have scanned the microfilmed newspapers for my area for the month he would have been born and also for the months before and after but no birth is found. I would like to be able to find my uncle and also the cousin I saw only once. This boy would be close to my younger brother's age now. Any suggestions or help is appreciated. 1. [NEBRRoots] Lancaster County, NE WWI Honor Roll additions
    2. The Lancaster County, NE WWI Honor Roll book has had 40 more photos and biographies added. This is an ongoing and lengthy project and I will add more as time allows. There are now over 1000 photos online with short bios. This book was large and has over 350 pages. Each webpage for the book consists of about 4-7 pages from the book. Please be patient while I scan photos and transcribe the bios, as this book was mostly in alphabetical order with a few exceptions. I am still on the B's. Please visit often to look for new additions to these pages. You can access the book by either going to the Lancaster County Resources page and clicking on the Veterans Index link <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/lancresources.html> or go to the following link: < http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/honor/lancww1vetscover.html > Have a nice day ~ Kathie Harrison Lancaster County Coordinator, NEGenWeb http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/lancindex.html Harrison Roots & Branches http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/index.html All incoming and outgoing e-mail is passed through the most recent Norton Antivirus definitions to assure viruses are not passed.
