Judy- Could you look up Willis J. Bassler in Lincoln, Lancaster County in the 1880 census. The best information I have puts him in Nebraska around 1876-1877. He was born in Bushkill Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, on August 20, 1858. He was not married yet and was probably not the head of a household. He may well have been a boarder. It is also possible that he may have been living with a family from Pennsylvania that he traveled west with. Thanks in advance for your help.
