I have been told - and it seems to be true - that Nemaha County was left out of the 1870 index in the Federal Census Index Books? I also have recently been made aware that there is a new edition of the 1870 Index Books for some states - is Nebraska one of them and does it have the index for Nemaha County? I am looking for the Isaac Burns family in Nemaha County, NE 1870. Wife - Phebe (Phoebe) Children: (Who may be in house or out) Judy, Asbury Wesley, Thomas, there may also be grandchildren, Isaac, Ruth, and Mary L. in same household. When Isaac died in 1872 he supposedly had a home in the town of Peru, Nemaha Co. Many thanks for any and all help! CJ Nichols
