I have been watching the lists and the requests and have decided the following guidelines are needed. These will be added to the welcome letters and they will have to be "enforced". Since I am only one person I am asking that you please help me to keep these new subscribers aware of the request guidelines by reminding them gently that they make requests in this manner or they will be unsubscribed after a couple of offenses. I hate to make such strict rules but we are getting people sending a dozen requests a day, not including vital information and in some cases being pushy when they don't get an answer right away. Some of our lists have over 300 people, that is alot of email when folks are making numerous requests. As always please jump in and help with the requests when you are able to. Thanks, Kelly Posting Guidelines, (not following these guidelines can result in your query being ignored or you being unsubscribed) Limit lookup requests to ONE email request per day. The subject line should read YEAR/COUNTY/SURNAME NO General requests such as "all Smiths in all counties" Be specific, Name the County, Family you are looking for and also the year. Try to supply as much info as possible.
