    3. I can not find Aunt Jessie past 1910 census when she was still living at home at the age of 18. That is why I did some hard digging in marriage vitals in Plymouth and Woodbury Co... thinking she met Perry around here... BUT when I received her obit ( written by one of her nephews ) he mentioned they married in Bloomfield, NE. in 1912. Someone scoured marriages for me there and the surrounding co. records and no mrg. linc. was found. So the obit is actually a little miss leading. Jessie is not the only one that has eluded me in this family. But so far she has been the one I cant find some hide or hair on prior to her death. I will check out the link to the WACS. TY to You and everyone that has helped though we got a little off census topic. 3. Hi. I wrote my Dad-he had an aunt that was in the military prior to 1940. There were some women that joined and 'I think' they were called W.A.C.S. but don't quote me on that. I'll let you know what he says. And don't give up on Jessie/Hazel--she's out there somewhere. Do you have Perry and Hazel in the 1920 census? I looked but didn't see one that fits. In Iowa/1920 Sioux city, there is a Perry E b.IA 33y but his wife's name is Minnie 30y b.IA with 2 sons and 1 daughter. 3. Well, I'm still not having much luck finding her. There are 11 Hazel DENNING and none right age b.IL. and 7 Jessie DENNING, again none the right age b.IL. No 37 or 38y Jessie using soundex, no Hazel 38y either. There's a 37y-daughter-Hazel DEMMING in KS, if you think she's living with parents. I also looked for Hazel or Jessie in IA and NE but none the right age. Sorry. 3. Hi Nancy thank you for the help, my cousin Martin found James or Merle ( he went by his middle name ) in the last place I would think he would be...7 miles down the road in Moville, IA.. I have some conflicting sources on GGG AUnt Jessie ( seems she preferred her middle name also ) And was hoping to find her in 1930 census to see if not perhaps it would give me a better clue on where her husband died in 1929. Her obit mentions marriage in Bloomfield ( no luck there ) and then living in Page, NE. prior to moving to Utah, 42 years before her death in 1966. But in her mother's obit she is in Sioux City, IA in 1934. Her father never had an obit just a death notice. I have checked and rechecked for possible death and marriage here in Woodbury and Plymouth Co., IA. and nothing. Jessie never had any children....sooo with all the conflicting sources I am at the lost where "Hope to Find" her in 1930 may be more leading to finding Parry Denning's, her husband, death location and maybe an obit on him and getting him solved. So TY for all the hard work in tracking down the nurmious Jessie and Hazel Dennings. My Jessie was born in ILL. in 1892, should be widowed, her mother born ILL. and her father born Canada. If this is any help narrowing the field. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Riley" <4ril2par2irv@sprint.ca> To: <NE-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2003 8:56 PM Subject: Re: [NE-CENSUS-LOOKUP] Page, Ne. 3. Jacque, the only McAULIFFE family in Sterling is this one- Mcauliffe, Marton H View Image Online Age: 72 Year: 1930 Birthplace: Illinois Roll: T626_1284 Race: White Page: 3A State: Nebraska ED: 7 County: Johnson Image: 0084 Township: Sterling Relationship: Head line 27, taken 16th April, Martin H. h/h, owns, $1000, 72y, M, 1st married at age 37y, b.IL, parents b.IL, Blanche A, wife, 66y M, 1st married at age 29y, b.PA, parents b.PA. There were 27 listings for George McAULIFFE in the index too, in various states, none in NE, would need a birthplace or age to narrow the list down. I looked up just George in Sterling and none are even close to McAULIFFE. And I looked for Thomas abt.15y but none in Sterling. 3. KKB, do you know any ages for Jessie or Hazel? I found several listings for Jessie in the index but not in NE. There were some for Hazel too but not in the same place as Jessie. There is one Merle b.IA in IA, and there are two listings for James-neither b.IL-this one I looked up- Badgerow, James D View Image Online Age: 35 Year: 1930 Birthplace: Missouri Roll: T626_678 Race: White Page: 6B State: Iowa ED: 125 County: Polk Image: 0447 Township: Walnut Relationship: Head taken 12th April, line 87, James D, h/h, owns, $3500, has radio, 35y, M, 1st married at age 28y, b.MO, parents b.MO, Stock checker, Auto assembly, Veteran/yes, WW, and Gladys F, wife, 34y, M, 1st married at age 26y, b.IA, parents b.IA, Bookkeeper, retail grocery.
