This was a farm post office established June 2, 1905 with Michael Rasmussen pm, who named it for President Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), who had lived in the Badlands in the 1880's, and was a great favorite of many state residents. It was located in Sec. 29-145-69, Johnson Twp., nine miles SSW of Sykeston, and closed April 30, 1908 with mail to Sykeston. You should be able to get Marriage Certificates from the North Dakota Historical Society in Bismarck, ND. Good Luck. Bob ----.
