Our common ancestor was Heinrich and Susannah (Neuhengen) Prom who settled in Port Washington, Ozaukee Co., WI. Several children left to settle in MN, IL and ND. Those that settled in ND are: Hubert Prom and Margie (Puetz) Prom with their children: John, Julia Prom Taff, George, Amalia, Leonard, Leona Prom Fisher, Norbert, and Martha Prom Clevin. Mathias Prom and (1st) Maria Anna Strauss (2nd)Susanna Meyers. Children from 1st marriage: John, Maryanna Prom Schmitz, Catharina, Nicholas, Anna Catharina Prom Weinmann and Lucy Susanna Prom Weinmann. From 2nd marriage: Clara, Christine, Henry, Emil, Laurence and Cecilia. If you are descended from either of those 2 families or the other families of Magdalena Prom Dimmer (Belgium, WI), Catherine Prom Strauss (Bellechester, MN), John Prom (St. Cloud, MN), Mary Prom Peters (Bellechester -- my great, great grandmother), Nicholas (Nicklos) Henry Prom (Ozaukee Co., WI), John Baptiste Prom (Milwaukee, WI), Peter Prom (Belgium, WI), Katherine Prom Lorge (Port Washington, WI), and Nicholas (Nickie) J. Prom (Port Washington), I would also love to hear from you to exchange family history and information. I'm looking for family stories, obituaries, photographs and other things to include in the book.
