I have since discovered that my great uncle Cyril Smith lived in Cottonwood Wells, ND. His sister, Rose Smith Thurston lived in Heaton and was married to my greatgrandfather, William Harrison Thurston. He farmed in the Heaton area and also, I think, owned a hardware store. They were charter members of the Heaton Congregational Church. I would appreciate any information that anyone could find for me.
