Phares of Pendleton Co., Va. his wife was Cynthia Woods of Nicholas Co., Va. Of this union a son James S.H. Phares who marries a Diannah Coger. Their son William Presley Phares and his wife Sarah Jane Ware of this union there are 12 children William, Sabina, Eli, Diannah, Bertha, James, Thomas, Mary, Lloyd, Ernie, Roy, and Kingston.
