There is no Nagler in the tree that I have from my mother. The tree was last updated in 1994.

Actually I have the name on several documents...another is his naturlization papers and another is a birth record for my aunt. All these documents are dated between 1906 and 1909. It's definitely in North Dakota but I can' find anything either...thus the question? Is it possible it was not a town but a township or community of some sort?

I was quite disappointed as I had hoped to be able to check a few things as my grandfather homesteaded there. I did check the cemetery and made the comment ot my husband regarding the name "Thurston". The cemetery is about a mile form Heaton towards the county line. If you do find any information on the church records, could you let me know? I'm sure my grandfather would have been involved as he was a very religious man. Wish I could give you some concrete info, though!

From what we understand he also ran a hardware store in Heaton as well. The problem I'm having is trying to find my grandparents marriage cert. and also my grandmother's family. All my grandfather's documents seem to be signed in Roosevelt, North Dakota but I have no idea where this is and so far no one has been able to help me out. Does anyone know anything about this town and what county it is located in? THANKS!

Not able to find them in 1880 yet. Here is what the 1870 Census reads: Smith Wilson J, age 46, b. Pennsylvania -Farmer Smith Henrietta J., age 29, b. Illinois Smith Rosenna J. age 4, b. Iowa Smith Dill E, age 2, b. Iowa I found Cyril in 1920 in North Dakota and the Census said he was age 42, b. Iowa so he should have been born about 1877. Have not found any of them in 1880 yet, could have moved from Iowa but I have checked other states and no luck. Still working on it, Karen

I am searching for any information on the wife of Jacob Free/Frueh/Freak, etc. Her first name was Lizzie and maiden name may have been Bauer/Bower. She was born in Russia in 1866 and came to the US in 1888, or so one census record indicates. She and her family lived in Wells Co. After giving birth to 11 children, she apparently died between 1906 and 1910, but there is no death certificate, grave marker, obituary for her of record. What happened to her? Any leads at all would be appreciated. Anything at all on her family would be so appreciated--even if it is just a tip where to look.
