To Whom May Concern: I am writing regarding information left on Wells County board. I was born and raised in Wells County and lived 12 miles from Fessenden. I find the following information in my Wells County Atlas of 1911. "Erfle, Jacob, Farmer, Section 7, Township 146, Range 72. P. O. Box Hurdsfield: Mr. Erfle was born in Russia in 1884 and settled in Wells County in 1894." Hurdsfield, ND, is located south and west of Fessenden........ Please be aware as of the 1974 Wells County Atlas there were the following individuals listed: Heaton is located south of Fessenden...... Arnold Erfle, Heaton, ND (Wife, Colleen, children, Tommy, Patty, Diane, Connie, Jerry, Carol, Darla, Dale; Phone number is listed under Fessenden, They are Catholic. Arthur Erfle, Heaton, ND Elmer Erfle, Heaton, ND I would surmise that these are the offspring of Jacob Erfle, a relative (brother) to your George....... That's all the information I currently have.........I am going to ask if my Dad remembers this family......I believe he remembers them as we lived not far from their home.
