I looked through the death index in Bismarck today and tried every combination of the Free last name I could think of and even used soundex combinations. I checked for about a 20 year period and didn't find anything on that surname. Sorry I couldn't help you. Terry

I applied for a birth record from Vital Stats but they do not have one. I am wondering if she was never registered. Her parents were Louise Banik and Jacob Ruff. They were baptists as far as I know. Ida had the following siblings all born in Wells County: Martha, Anna, Alfred, Walter, Martin, Rose and Edna. I know they were in Wells County from 1885 until 1906 when they left and went to Canada. Jacob and Louise were also married in Wells in 1888 but again I havent found anything on their marriage. Any info on this family please let me know. Thank you
