I found Joseph R Girard on the 1920/1930 census living in Harvey, Wells, North Dakota. He is married to Laura, last name unknown. They have two children, Laura Josephine born 1922 and Joseph C born 1925. He is an engineer for the railroad. Am looking for the parents of both Joseph and Laura. Joseph was married in 1922 and died 7 April 1929 in Harvey. Therefore he didn't appear on a Census which is where I'd first look for the address of their home. I tried to find his wife Edith in a 1930 Census but I don't think she stayed in the county. There is a volunteer who has access to City/County Directories. You'll find his/her contact info at www.gengathering.com. You must create a user ID and password to enter this web site, however, access to the volunteer contact info is free. He/she is listed under All States, All Counties. The Central North Dakota Genealogical Society is located in harvey and their contact info is at www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ndwells/lookups.htm.
