    3. A couple suggestions: 1] A section on the front page which advertises need for county coordinators, a list of countys needing a coordinator, and someplace which describes the very basic requirements/skills of a coordinator. 2] The state negotiate to get state wide projects under the auspices of NDGenWeb and then advertise on the front page; for example: ND Tombstone Transcription Project, ND Ghost Towns, Reunions, etc. etc. Generate logos for those which don't have logos. 3] OK so more than a couple. Use front page for ONLY NDGenWeb, with one link to 'outside' or 'other' resources on other pages, i.e., Research Helps. Note: These are important to researchers but sooner or later the front page gets cluttered with links and causes confusion and it really is a NDGenWeb site so we should try to emphasize that at least on the front page. Let the visitor browse NDGenWeb resources before pointing to others. 4] Wherever possible emphasize the NDGenWeb as a team of county GenWebs. All of us together are smarter and more energetic and can provide family resources much better than any one of us alone. Sincerely, Mike Emmons County ----- Original Message ----- From: "L. S. 3. Thank you Mike! I think I'm burned out though on the main page -- that image map did me in. All those coordinates! LOL Give me a day or two to catch up on other things, then I'll go over it again and try out some of your ideas, and ask that all y'all take another look-see... :-) ~Lee On Sunday, June 06, 2004 5:43 PM [GMT+5=ET], Mike Peterson <geanie@cox.net> wrote: > A couple suggestions: > 1] A section on the front page which advertises need for county > coordinators, a list of countys needing a coordinator, and someplace > which describes the very basic requirements/skills of a coordinator. > 2] The state negotiate to get state wide projects under the auspices > of NDGenWeb and then advertise on the front page; for example: ND > Tombstone Transcription Project, ND Ghost Towns, Reunions, etc. etc. > Generate logos for those which don't have logos. > 3] OK so more than a couple.
