The Board has directed the EC to conduct the election of a new SC immediately. I have been notified by the EC of a proposed schedule for the election to which I agreed and it is as follows: June 24 - 30, nominations July 1 - July 7, campaigning July 8 - 22, voting Don't get excited about the campaign part as I would not expect anything more than a candidate answering whatever questions are posed. I have subbed two EC members to this list, Greta Thompson and Bev Hopkins for the duration of the election to answer any technical questions that you may have. I have asked the EC to pose this question to you: "Are you in favor of holding an election every two years for state coordinator?". If the majority votes yes the EC will put it on their schedule. I will immediately turn the SC position over to the new SC upon final certification of the winner by the EC. This is our chance to have a new revitalized NDGenWeb responsive to both you as CCs and to researchers. I urge everyone to participate. Joe
