Hello again North Dakota, First, the Election Committee is officially declaring Lee S. King to be your new State Coordinator. She takes office immediately upon receiving this email. Our congratulations and best wishes to Lee and to North Dakota. We hope this is the beginning of a productive and exciting period for the NDGenWeb. Secondly, I want to encourage you again to vote yes or no on the following question: Are you in favor of holding an election every two years for state coordinator? Send your answer to either of the following members of the Election Committee: Greta Thompson bluebear@new.rr.com Bev Hopkins (bbeegle@huntel.net) YOUR VOTES WILL BE CONFIDENTIAL. No one other than Bev and I will know who voted yes and who voted no. Once the results have been officially tallied, we will delete the emails containing the votes. We realized yesterday that we had not set a deadline for voting. After discussing it with Bev and the Election Committee Chair, as well as with Joe Zsedeny, we're ready to announce a deadline. PLEASE NOTE: Voting will continue until 9 PM CDT on Sunday, July 18 or until a majority of votes (at least ten votes) have been cast for one alternative or the other, whichever comes first. Feel free to email Bev or me if you have questions. Thank you, Greta Thompson USGenWeb Election Committee bluebear@new.rr.com
Congratulations Lee ! I'm looking forward to your tour and from personal experience in the recent past I know you'll be working hard for the benefit of the NDGenWeb. Will be most happy and proud to help in any way I can. Congratulations, Lee. You have done an excellent job of putting the state pages back together in a more attractive and useful format. And I know how hard you and Michelle have worked to restore missing pages. I think everyone can be proud of what has been achieved and can look forward to more of the same. I will be available to assist in the future in any way I can and will keep in touch with any new data for the Archives. Wow. Okay. Thank you all for the congrats. :-) I tend to preach, but will try not to. All I want is for ND researchers to find resources they need. And I think all of you do, too, or you wouldn't be CCs. :-) But tasks are easier when we have support, and I'd love to see us communicate more, share ideas, and ask for help if we need it. All right. That's it. No request for "Kumbaya" or anything... ;-) ~Lee S. King SC NDGenWeb Project
I've updated the SC information on Dunn and Cavalier to reflect your new status <grin>. [Got a small access problem with Ramsey but that one will be up as soon as that is resolved.] Holly At 10:34 PM 7/10/2004 -0400, L. S. King wrote: >Wow. >Okay.
