Hi ND genweb page punchers If you have not already done so, I'd like to ask you to put up a link on your pages to our North Dakota State Genealogical Society page. Our page is not as up and coming as some of your pages, but we're trying to get a start. The page address is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ndsgs/index.html We are a relatively young organization, but we represent the state's genealogical societies. Our membership is open to delegates from those organizations as well as individual members. We have been working on completing countywide cemetery books, publishing pre-1925 county marriage indexes, and promoting volunteers to work on county school censuses. Our recent "MOST Cemeteries of Morton County, ND",2002 was a project that was promoted and aided by our membership with help coming from various societies and individuals. Our current president, Partrice Hartman of Regent, is bent on trying to get all of our counties with cemetery books. We have a few counties in the west that are without published books. She also is resolved to get Vital Records death, marriage, and divorce indexes up on the internet during her term of office. We all hope she is successful! So if you have the time, I would ask you to add our page to your links. Our page is not long out of the construction phase, but we hope it will grow and be useful. George L. Barron, Jamestown, ND, fumbling with Eddy, Foster, Kidder, Stutsman, Wells, and our James River Genealogy Club pages. NDSDS page owner, Joe Zsedney also allows me to fumble with a couple of the sub pages there.
