Lorraine Newsome has adopted Benson and Pierce, and Joy Fisher has adopted McIntosh. Thanks for the feedback onlist and off. :-) Many of the societies are included in the county listings on this page: http://www.state.nd.us/hist/hslist.htm But some aren't -- like Red River Valley. It's only listed under Cass. That doesn't help researchers who don't know it might help them in another eastern border county. Those are the ones I want to list. But there are soo many that might cross borders between counties and I can't research them all. Some of you have already given me some great info, but I'd love to hear from more of you. :-) ~Lee S. In browsing about our county sites, I realized we lack something -- a listing on the state site of regional societies, like the Red River Valley Genealogical Society http://www.fargocity.com/~rrvgs/, which covers Pembina, Walsh, Grand Forks, Traill, Cass, and Richland. It would be helpful to researchers if we listed these societies on the state site, don't you think?
