He was born Oct. 23, 1957, in Davidson County to the late William Junior James and Mary Ann James. Mr. James was owner and operator of James Auto Sales of Yadkinville. He was a dedicated fan of NASCAR and attended Center United Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors and the time spent with his family either deer hunting, fishing or riding four-wheelers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Hurley Hoots. Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Lou Watson James of the home; two children, LeNora Anne James Bass of Lexington and William Kenneth James of the home; two granddaughters, Angel Ellysia-Marie "Bug" Bass and Nikki "Pecan" Bass; a sister, Cindy Carol (Barry) Flowers of Elizabeth City; two brothers, William Kim (Joyce) James of Davidson County and Robert Junior (Susie) James o! f Yadkinville; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in Gentry Family Chapel, with the Rev. Cathy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 14, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Published in the Winston-Salem Journal on 10/14/2007.
