Mrs. Vestal was born June 14, 1914, in Yadkin County to the late Robert and Lela Brown Mosteller. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Hugh A. Vestal; son Harold Vestal; two sisters; and four brothers. Surviving are her children, Jay (Annette) Vestal, Carol (Fred) Holcomb, Mattie (Sherrill) Kimmer, Bonnie (Ronnie) Reynolds, Frances Vestal, Eva (Charles) Holcomb, Davis (Carol) Vestal and James Vestal; sisters Lucille Wagoner, Marie Vestal and Coriene Cumberland; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Her graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 20, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville, which is serving th! e Vestal family.
