She was the daughter of the late Everett and Pearl Mabe Taylor; the widow of Greek Thomas Rose; and was also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Rose, a daughter, Donna Rose Myers, a brother, Benjamin Franklin Taylor; and a sister, Maxie Taylor. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dale Williams of Yadkinville; a son, Carl Rose of Morganton; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Gladys Taylor of Youngsville; two sisters, Nancy Williams and Alma Shepherd, both of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews who also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Grandview Memorial Chapel in Sparta. Burial will follow in Cranberry Cemetery at Laurel Springs. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, Oct. 9, at the funeral home.
