Thompson, 87, of Jonesville, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Miss Thompson was born July 22, 1920, in Yadkin County to Grover and Mabel Finney Thompson. Miss Thompson was a homemaker and was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Thompson and Doris Eskridge. Survivors include a nephew, Joseph D. Eskridge of Tryon; and two nieces, Sarah Himan of Weaverville and Judith E. Williams of Hillsborough. A private service will be held at a later date.
