Mrs. Baity was born in Yadkin County to the late Floyd and Maggie Reavis Joyner. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Mrs. Baity will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother as well as a devoted Christian. Mrs. Baity was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Leon Draper Baity. She is survived by a son, Dr. Ron Baity and wife Linda of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Malinda Gail Baity of Yadkinville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Baity and wife Linda of Winston-Salem and Penny Krystyn and husband Michael of Kernersville; five great-grandchildren, Angelica, Ashlynn, and Alyssa Krystyn, and Adam and Autumn Baity; and a sister, Sylvia Smith of Harmony. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Berean Baptist Church, 4135 Thomasville Road, with Dr. Ron Baity and the Rev. Jeff Baity o! fficiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 9, at the church. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel will be assisting the family.
