Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Hutchens was born March 11, 1916, in Wilkes County to the late John and Mary Speaks. Flora retired from Western Electric after 37 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thad R. Hutchens; five sisters; and three brothers. Surviving are her sisters, Rossie Wooten of Yadkinville, Irene Shore of Yadkinville, Genieve Craft of Winston-Salem; a special niece, Carole Blakley; other nieces and nephews; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. Her funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Altizer and the Rev. Rennie Adcock officiating. Mrs. Hutchens will be in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 6, at Gentr! y Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorials may be made to Kate B.
