Mrs. Wright was born in Yadkinville on Nov. 13, 1919, to Lonnie and Murley Gentry Howell. Her late husband was W.W. "Doc" Wright who went to be with the Lord on Feb. 18, 1985. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Clyde, George, Zeno and Johnny Howell and an infant daughter, Patricia. Mrs. Wright is survived by her five children, David Wright and wife, Dorothy, Reba Hollingsworth and her husband, Tom, Jerrie Hayes and husband, Frank, Jackie Harris and husband, Dwight and Neil "Doc" Wright and wife, Paulette. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family received friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service, Hwy 601 N. in Yadkinville from 1 - 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. Her funeral was conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Gentry Family Chapel by the the Rev. Bruce Freeman. Burial followed at the Harmony Grove Friends Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Yadkin County Senior Center, P.O. Box 1878, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
