She was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Yadkin County to the late John A. "Sandy" and Sina H. Rose. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing Co. of Elkin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Henderson; two brothers; and six sisters. Surviving are a son, Jerry T. Henderson, and wife Wanda Jean Henderson of Clemmons; a loving granddaughter, Gina (Jonathan) Bryant of Rockingham; and many special nieces and nephews. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Gentry Family Chapel of Jonesville, with the Dr. Leon Mickles officiating. Burial will follow in Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, before the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville. A special thanks to the! loving and caring staff of Clemmons Village II Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3380 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville, NC 28642.
