She was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Yadkin County to the late Silas and Alta Mag Mackie Wagoner. Mrs. Harris worked for several years with Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem and was owner and operator of Ann' s Stylette of Yadkinville. She also worked with the Yadkinville Elementary School Cafeteria, Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners of Yadkinville and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Boonville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Wagoner. Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years, James D. Harris of the home; her three children, Becky (Bruce) Cruise, Connie (Wayne) Jackson and Daniel (Dwana) Harris, all of Yadkinville; grandchildren Andy Cruise, April (David) Brown, Amanda Adams and Kaity Hawkins; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Brown and Stephen Brown; two brothers, T.R. (Lillian) Wagoner of Boonville and J! oe Allen (Carol) Wagoner of Westfield; and a sister-in-law, Joan Wagoner. Her funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Stewart and the Rev. Dean Chandler officiating. She will be in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 17, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Published in the Winston-Salem Journal on 11/17/2007. NOTES BY SUBMITTER: Ann's mother, Alta Mag Mackie was the daughter of Joseph Robert Mackie & Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Collins. Catherine Collins was the daughter of David D. Collins & Nancy Smith. David Collins was the son of Hiram Collins & Phebe Tucker. Joseph Robert Mackie was the son of Benjamin Mackie & Tennessee Reece. Ann's father Silas was the son of Thomas Brown Wagoner & Laura Ann Swaim. Thomas was the son of Jonathan Wagoner & Grace Ann Swaim.
