She was born in Yadkin County on March 19, 1922, to the late Millard and Myra Swaim Macemore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Reed; a daughter, Wanda Royal; six sisters, Mabel Macemore, Ola Stokes, Lilly Johnson, Ellen Pinnix, Pearl Holloman and Mamie Macemore; and six brothers, Preston, Grady, Earnest, Frank, Everette and Gene Macemore. She is survived by two daughters, Hilda Brewer of Elkin and Rita White of Wilkesboro; two sons, Dewey (Sarah) Reed of Jonesville and David (Lisa) Reed of Moravian Falls; grandchildren Crystal Reed, Jennifer Reed, Kristie Brown, Stacey Royal, Mandy Reed, Justin Reed and James Brewer; and two great-grandchildren, Lacey and Natalie Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Royal officiating. Buri! al will follow at Swaim' s Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reed family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Nov. 6, at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N.
