Ms. Mabe was born in Rockingham county on Sept. 29, 1961 to the late David and Pansy Mabe. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and friend. Ms. Mabe is survived by two daughters, Sheree Nichole Wood of King, NC, and Caroline Brook Wood of East Bend; a sister, Rita Ann Mabe of Walnut Cove, and her loving companion of 13 years Mark Lankford of East Bend. She was preceded in death by a brother, Monroe Wilkins and two sisters, Elaine Wilmoth and Ruby Noah. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 P.M., Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 748 Spainhour Rd. King, NC.
