Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Marshall was born in Yadkin County on May 4, 1909, to the late John and Amanda Macemore Pruitt. She was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Leona was a loving Christian mother and grandmother. Having lived with her daughter and son-in-law for 18 years, Leona inspired everyone she met. She loved gardening, baking and most of all she loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her husband whom she adored for 63 years, Noah Andrew Marshall, who died May 7, 1990; as well as two sisters; and two brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Olene (Bill) Burchette of Winston-Salem; and a son, Sam (Joyce) Marshall of Lexington; three grandchildren, Mrs. Jayme (Larry) Earle of Wilmington, Mrs. Lori (Tony) Campbell of Clemmons and Shannon (Amy) Marshall of Mooresville; seve! n great-grandchildren, Zeke and Sarah Earle, Phillip and Amanda Hutchins and Reanna, Jacob and Ian Campbell; a great-great-granddaughter, Savana Noel; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2008, at Northwoods Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Jim Thompson, the Rev. Henry Cook and the Rev. Rufus Culler officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Mrs. Marshall will be in the church from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Marshall family.
