He was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Yadkin County to Josephine Royall Hemric and the late Charles Winfield Hemric. Surviving are his mother, Josephine Hemric; children Christy Hemrick and DeAnn Beutler; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters Toby (Richard) Vanhoy and Gail (David) Fann; brothers, Dottie Lee (Norma) Hemric and James Wayne Hemric; and several nieces and nephews. His graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Brannon Friends Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hemrick family.
