On the 1928 death certificate (Mrs. Mary Vestal), the name Jane "Johson" may come from the fact that Charles Bryant, father of Hugh, married as his second wife Jemima (Johnson) Patterson. Jane, wife of Hugh Bryant, was born July 30, 1821, died May 9, 1905. I have seen many errors on death certificates. Those that give the information for the death certificate do not always know the correct facts about the deceased as to dates of birth, parentage, etc. An interesting fact is that on Nancy Jane's death certificate is that her father, Hugh Bryant, is listed as born in "Tenn."
