She was born June 14, 1914, to the late James & Viola West Helton. Ms. Helton was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Center United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ford Helton. Surviving are two Nephews Gray (LaRue) Helton, Yadkinville; Rickey (Becky) Helton, Boonville; The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Lambert, and Rev. Cam Conover officiating. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
