He was born June 6, 1931 to the late Pet & Mamie Murphy Brown. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He served in The U S Air Force. He was the owner of Bill Brown Signs and Garage Doors. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Nancy Brown, and a brother Aldon Brown. Surviving are his wife Myrtle Blevins Brown, of the Home; three daughters Kathy Brown, (Eddie Weatherman); Marci ( R.C.) Carter; Sheila (Kerry) Johnson; Grandchildren Kristen Booe (Jacob Stroud), Lori Booe, Devin Carter, Lauren Carter, Travis Johnson, Whitney Johnson; two sisters Grace Miller, Brenda (Clark) Shore; a brother Aubrey L. Brown. The family will received friends from 7-9 PM Monday may 5, 2008 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral was conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Courtney Crowson. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church wit! h Military rights by the VFW Post 10346. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Carol B.
