She was born June 8, 1928, in Yadkin County to William and Mary Della Bray of Jonesville. Ms. Longworth resided in Winston-Salem for most of her adult life. She retired from Taylor Brothers in Winston-Salem. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will always be remembered. Ms. Longworth was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and four brothers. Surviving are three daughters, Jessie Bowen (Lee) of Pfafftown; Jerrie Wemlinger of High Point; and Judy Patton of Greensboro; her beloved grandchildren, Cheryl Childers (Brian Minkler), Candace Childers, Teresa Mackey (Douglas), Jessica Bowen Campbell (Jason), Brandon, Brooke and Eric Wemlinger and Blair (Andy) Spellicy; and great-grandchildren Brody Alexander Mickler and Alexa Grace Mackey. She also had numerous nieces and nephews surviving her. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March ! 1, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer' s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 1315 Ashleybrook Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
