Collins, 68, of Boonville passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at her home. She was born in Surry County on Sept. 24, 1939, to Lewis and Meadie Beane Moser. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bobby Moser. Surviving are her husband, Jay Collins of the home; three children, Becky Boyer, Belinda (Arthuro) Salazar and James "Slim" (Michelle) Collins, all of East Bend; two sisters, Willie Griffin and Geneva Lane, both of East Bend; a brother, Steve Moser of East Bend; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Huff Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 7, at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend. Published in the Winston-Salem Journal on 2/7/2008.
