Norman, 90, of Dobson died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Yadkin County on Oct. 26, 1917, to James H. and Beulah Spainhour Norman. Mr. Norman worked in the logging and sawmill industry for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Addie Coe Norman. Surviving are his sisters, Virginia (Willy) Woodruff of Boonville; Lillian Matthews of Winston-Salem; Nannie Marion of Pinnacle; Betty Kennedy of Boonville; and Bertha (Max) Rothrock of Wallburg; a brother, Gus Norman of Dobson; special friend Connie Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 23, at Huff Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Barlow Stanley officiating. Family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. before the service.
