She was born in Yadkin County on Aug. 16, 1919, to Junius Ethan and Osia Pardue Davis. Mrs. Davis was a member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 63 years, Arvil Esker Davis; and sisters Laura Myers, Lura Stinson and Maude Hobson. Surviving are her children, Peggy Ann Davis (special friend Dean Williams), Ed (Brenda) Davis, Steve (Lot) Davis and Jeff (Melissa) Davis, all of East Bend; four grandchildren, Greg (Sandy) Davis, Dee Ann (Bobby) Payne, Anthony (Abby) Davis and Mason Davis; and five great-grandchildren, Trevor Davis, Maddy Bumgarner, Jessica Payne, Hannah Davis and Ainsley Davis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 9, at Richmond Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Will Hamric officiating. The body will be in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in Richmond Hill Bapti! st Cemetery.
