Born April 1, 1924 in Yadkin County, NC, she was the daughter of Joseph Columbus Miller and Francis Edith Azmon. Sarah was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Medical Park Hospital in 1986 were she worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She is preceded in death by her beloved sisters and brothers: Francis Allen, Hattie Plott, Glenn, and Joseph Miller. In deep sorrow at her passing, she is survived by a host of family and friends including beloved sister: Carolyn Rice and brothers: Albert, Burley & Leon Miller, and their loving families. A beloved mother, she is survived by her five children:, Rebecca Jones, Loretta Long (Chester Long), Wesley, Sam (Linda Boyer), and David Boyer (friend Tim Quigley), ten grandchildren: Angela Queen, Rae Hurley, Gina Abee, Chet Long, Paul East, Alexis Newsome, Susan Casto, Kim Bumgardener, Will, and Robert Boyer, and seven great-grand children: Nick Mello, Kayla & Jacob Queen, Sierra & Cheyenne Hurley, Ryan Lora, and Grayson Baumgarter. She is also remembered by her many friends including Jan, Eloise, and Betsy. The family received friends on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel with funeral services there at 2 p.m. Sunday, presided over by Dr. Gary Chapman. Burial was at the Turners Creek Baptist Church immediately following funeral services.
