He was born in Yadkin County on March 27, 1937 to Renzo and Elva Fulp Wooten. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother, Kenneth Wooten. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Linda Hill Wooten of the home; daughter, Jan (Robert) West of Dallas, GA; two sons, Gregory Dale (Cynthia Annette) Wooten, and Darrell Keith (Vickie Reid) Wooten, both of East Bend; brother, Richard Gale Wooten of East Bend; two sisters, Shirley Hunt, and June Hayes, both of East Bend; five grandchildren: Greg Wooten, Amber Wooten, Taylor Wooten, Bayleigh Wooten, and Max West; special friends, Skip and Sara Hutchens and their children, Elizabeth and Mary Anita; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 1, 2008 at 8 p.m. at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Lambert and the Rev. Don Ball officiating. The family wi! ll receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow Tueday at 11 a.m. in the Faith Community Baptist Church Cemetery for family and close friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hoots Memorial Hospital for the loving care Mr. Wooten received.
