She was born and lived in New Orleans, LA until moving to North Carolina in 1984. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James J. Drum, her parents, and brother Alfred Drum. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lisa Drum; grandson, Jeff Drum; great-grandson, Jake Drum; sister, Thelma Conant; niece, Bonnie Thierry; and great-nephew, Michael Thierry. A Memorial Service will be held at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville NC at 5 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lula Conrad Hoots, Memorial Hospital Palliative Care unit. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Hoots Memorial and Yadkin County Hospice for their warm and dedicated care.
