He was the oldest of twin sons born February 15, 1952 in Greensboro to Wade and Mary Emma Wylie. Mr. Wylie was a 1971 graduate of Grimsley Senior High School and a 1976 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was the Director of School Food Services for Yadkin County Schools and loved seeing and serving the children daily. He also enjoyed his role as the "Voice of the Falcons" for Forbush High School. Mr. Wylie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, where his favorite volunteer activity was shelving books in the school library. He was also an ordained deacon by College Park Baptist Church in Greensboro and also at the First Baptist Church of Belmont. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debora H. Wylie of Yadkinville, and two sons: Jonathan Wyl! ie and wife, Emily of Clemson, SC, Nicholas Wylie and fiancée, Mandy Doss of Yadkinville and granddaughter Lydda Grace Wylie. Also surviving are his mother; sister, Patricia Townsend, both of Julian; and twin brother Paul Wylie and wife, Clair of Linwood. A worship service celebrating God's work through his life will be held Sunday, December 28, at 3pm in the Calvary Baptist Church Worship Center by the Rev. Guy Hipp. A family visitation will be held following the service in the church dining room. In lieu of flowers, it was Mr. Wylie's request that memorials be made to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 (336) 760-9983.
