Born in Yadkin County on November 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Toss and Mae Sizemore Hoots. He was retired from J.R. U-Haul Rental and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Hoots is survived by two daughters:, Jerri Lin (Andy) Spillman of Yadkinville and Stacy Michelle Hoots of Gastonia and a sister: Dorothy "Dot" Reid of High Point. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hoots was preceded in death by a daughter: Jenny Mae Hoots, four brothers: Clyde, June, Conrad and Robert Hoots and a sister: Sue McMahan. The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hoots was held on Wednesday, August 6, at 11:00 a. m. in the Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Michael Faircloth officiating. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends August 5, from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Service. For those who prefer, memorials may be made to Deep Creek Baptist Church, 2400 Old Stage Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
